Suspended stainless steel tubing, painted aluminum, rotating Lucite orb, shaped Lucite prism, reflected light

2008 Permanent Installation School of Nursing, University of Virginia, Charlottesville

Originally commissioned for a two-story installation at the Rhodes/Nadler Collection, McLean, VA, Dr. and Mrs. Glen Rhodes donated the sculpture to the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville suspending above the entrance lobby of the School of Nursing.

View in artist’s studio before installation with detail shows the curve of the clear Lucite prism wrapping around the stainless steel. A pair of Lucite hemispheres is suspending in the space above.
